I am a married mother of 4 kids. 19, 9, 6 & 5. I have been a PT for 3 years. I decided to pursue a career in fitness when I fell in love with improving my health, physically and mentally. I wanted to help as many other women/mums who had felt the same as me. Isolated....
Needing some much needed me time after being home with the kids and the daily tasks of making sure everyone was feed, happy, clean and healthy. Putting myself on the bottom of the list. Everybody else came first. With our wedding fast approaching and still unable to get my unmotivated butt to the gym on my own, I found a local boot camp.
I started training a 6am, as it was the only time that worked for my family.
It became a social outlet. My therapy. I got to only think about me for an hour.
At the start it was more about weight loss and looking my best for my wedding. But it became much more. I have made friendships, I had a social outlet, I got to release some stress. And I enjoyed challenging myself every session. With that came confidence, self belief, less stress and a happier me.
If I can help one person believe they can do anything they put their mind to, that the number on the scale is just a number and they are much more, then I’ve done my job!
